Caminha (translated appropriately as ‘walk’) is a picturesque town and an ideal place to stop off on the Camino de Santiago.
With lots of restaurants, cafes and shops it is a great place to relax and recharge on your journey.
Caminha is proud to accommodate pilgrims on their journey and you’re guaranteed to meet others on the same path.
You’ll also find plenty of places to collect your stamp.
From Caminha you can take a taxi boat across the River Minho to pick up the coastal path or follow the ecopista along the river to Valença (26km) where you can cross on the bridge.
